FAQ

Common questions.

Key things to know about video in Springform.

What is Springform Video?
Springform's built-in video tool. A webcam, screen recorder, teleprompter, and video player that live inside every form, evaluation, and pitch, with topic-based segmentation, stitched playback, and automatic transcripts. Whether you're recording or reviewing, video keeps the human in the loop.
How does AI fit into video?
Springform AI helps on both sides of the recording. Before recording, it drafts scripts and suggests talking points tailored to your form, evaluation, or pitch. After recording, every clip is auto-transcribed, so AI can summarize, search, and analyze the content as part of evaluations, reports, and submissions. Across your workspace, video becomes structured, searchable content AI can work with as easily as text.
How is my video data used?
Your videos are stored in your workspace and used to power features for you — script help, transcripts, search, summaries. We don't train AI models on your video content or use your video content for any purposes other than to provide the Springform features. When a video is part of a submission or evaluation, it's visible only to the people who'd see any other part of the submission or evaluation (workspace members, assigned reviewers); when it's part of a pitch, it follows the pitch's access control settings.
Is video required in all my forms, evaluations, and pitches?
You do not need to include video in your forms, evaluations, or pitches. Video fields are just like any other field — include them when video makes sense for your use case, skip them when it doesn't. When you do include them, you can make them required or optional.
Can I record video on mobile?
Yes. The recorder works in any mobile browser. Simply log in, navigate to the video recording field, and record.
Can I upload existing videos instead of recording?
Yes. Admins can allow uploads in the field settings. Every video field supports MP4 uploads by default. If your video is in a different format, convert it to MP4 first.
Is there a time limit on recordings?
Yes, per video field. Admins can set the max duration in the field settings. Free plan caps at 1 minute per clip; paid plans get longer limits. Recordings stop automatically when they hit the limit. Uploads are capped by file size based on plan limits, not time.
Can multiple people contribute to the same video?
Yes. If a form or pitch has multiple video fields, teammates can each record their own. Springform stitches them into one unified video that plays back as a single continuous experience with chapters.
Does the recorder work the same way everywhere in Springform?
Yes. The same recorder runs inside forms (for submitters), evaluations (for reviewers), and pitches (for pitch creators). Same UI, same capabilities, regardless of where you're recording.
