Two blocks come pre-built for media: the File Upload block (for File Attachment fields) and the Video Pitch block (for Video Recording fields). But you're not limited to them — a File Attachment or Video Recording field can be added to any fieldable block. Label each clearly — "Upload your budget," "Record a two-minute intro."
A Video Recording field has two key settings: a maximum duration and an Allow upload toggle. With Allow upload on (the default), submitters can record in the browser or upload an existing MP4; turn it off to require an in-browser recording. (See: Record video inside Springform.)
File uploads support PDF, Word, JPG, and PNG, up to 10 MB per file. Video uploads must be MP4, up to 500 MB — convert other formats to MP4 first. These limits apply on all plans.
Uploaded documents and recorded video are processed automatically — documents have their text extracted and videos are transcribed — so reviewers and Springform AI can work from the actual content.
