Everything you build in Springform — a submission form, an evaluation rubric, a pitch — uses one shared system of content blocks (organized sections) that hold fields (the individual questions or inputs).
Blocks are the sections of your form or pitch. Most are fieldable — they hold fields you configure — including Video Pitch, Form Fields, File Upload, Text Block, Contact Info, Team Info, Company Info, Table Data, Terms & Conditions, Signature Block, and Rating Criteria. A few are structural — Welcome Message, Submit Form, and Statement Block — used in forms but not pitches. Every form includes a Welcome Message and a Submit Form block by default; you can customize but not remove them.
Each block comes pre-built with sensible default fields — a File Upload block with a File Attachment field, a Video Pitch block with Video Recording fields, and so on — but nothing is locked: you can edit the defaults and add any field type to any fieldable block.
Inside fieldable blocks you add fields. Field types include Video Recording and File Attachment; Short and Long Text; Dropdown, Multiple Choice, and Checkbox; Email, Phone, Address, Location, and URL; and Number, Date, Signature, Rating (with optional stars and comments), and Table. Each field has its own settings — for example, a Video Recording field has a maximum duration and an Allow upload toggle.
You rarely have to start from a blank block. Ask Springform AI to "add a video question," "make this field required," or "design the whole form" and it assembles the blocks and fields for you.
